Town of Marana has released its ninth episode of "Marana Town Talk", a local government podcast that balances education and entertainment with thoughtful commentary on local current events. 

Communications Manager Vic Hathaway and Communications Specialist Brad Allis kick off the episode with a double Summer Preview. First we interview Marana Parks & Recreation’s D. Tyrell McGirt and Corey Larriva (1:00) to get all the details about the great summer programs Parks and Recreation has for kids this summer. Next Special Events Coordinator Monique Hagberg (13:30) gives us a preview of the Fourth of July Star Spangled Spectacular as well as the Free Movies and Music series that the Town is hosting this summer. Finally, we look back at the Marana Macro Machines event (25:00) and get some on location interviews with Public Works Deputy Director Fausto Burrell and Parks Superintendent Dave Herman, who both helped make the event so much fun.

Town of Marana has released its eighth episode of "Marana Town Talk", our government podcast that balances education and entertainment with thoughtful commentary on local current events. This special edition episode focuses on the brave men and women of the Marana Police Department who were honored at last month’s Marana Police Awards

Communications Manager Vic Hathaway and Communications Specialist Brad Allis kick off the episode with a brief summary of the award winners before sitting down with Officer of the Year Award winner Randy Korth, Sgt. Jeff Pridgett, who was one of 10 honored in de-escalating a potential active shooter situation, and Luis Magana and Esteban Nozagaray, who were given the Life Saver Award.

Marana Town Talk Episode 7: Chamber legacy, General Plan Update, Cape Chase Adaptive Fun Run

Town of Marana has released its seventh episode of "Marana Town Talk", a local government podcast that balances education and entertainment with thoughtful commentary on local current events. 

Communications Manager Vic Hathaway and Communications Specialist Brad Allis kick off the episode with outgoing President/CEO of the Marana Chamber of Commerce Ed Stolmaker (4:00). Ed talks about his impacts on the community and his plans after retirement, before handing the mic over to incoming President/CEO Audra Winters, who tells us what her plans are for the upcoming year. Next, they sat down with Senior Planner Cynthia Ross (11:45) to discuss the 2040 General Plan Update, and how the public’s involvement can make a difference in their community. Finally, they spent some time with Recreation Coordinator Kevin Goodrich (19:40) to talk about Cape Chase and other modified recreation experiences for participants with special needs.

Town of Marana has released its fifth episode of "Marana Town Talk", a new government podcast that balances education and entertainment with thoughtful commentary on local current events. This special edition episode focuses on water quality in Marana Water.

Communications Manager Vic Hathaway and Communications Specialist Brad Allis kick off the episode with a brief summary of Marana Water quality before sitting down with Water Director John Kmiec to talk about next steps for the Picture Rocks and Airline/Lambert water treatment campus capital projects.

Communications Manager Vic Hathaway and Communications Specialist Brad Allis kick off the series with an analysis of the Marana State of the Town Address (1:04) followed by a discussion of exciting adventures you can have in Marana this summer (9:46). In anticipation of the new fiscal year beginning July 1, listeners can then learn more about the budget process and where your tax dollars are going with Deputy Town Manager Erik Montague and Budget Analyst Michael Dyckman (22:45). Your Town Podcast Episode 20: MHS Choir and Orchestra

Making their Your Town debut in Episode 20 of the Your Town Podcast are the singers and players of the Marana High School Choir and Orchestra.   In the episode, we chat with the choir director Sarah Ross and orchestra director Rachel Vega.  Then, for the first time on the podcast, we listen to some music!  Students will perform excerpts from what they’ve got in store for the Holiday Festival.  Finally, we wrap up with the Expert Challenge, where the students see if they can outsmart their teachers.  Give us a listen!
