THINGS TO KNOW before you schedule

Before scheduling an inspection

  • Ensure all work has been completed per plan prior to requesting an inspection.

  • Ensure the area(s) that are going to be inspected are free and clear of all debris and clutter.

  • Inspection must be scheduled in advance when you are ready for us to perform the inspection. Inspections can be scheduled as early as the next business day if requested prior to 3:00 pm.

  • Approved plans and permit must be on-site and available to the inspector the day of inspection.

  • If the building is occupied, someone must be available to allow access to the property.

  • Inspections are performed Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:00 pm, except on observed holidays.

  • After 2 failed inspections, a re-inspection fee will be applied to your permit. Additional inspections cannot be scheduled until the fee is paid.

Home Owners

Please call our inspection line at (520) 382-2637. You will be asked to leave a voicemail. Ensure you have the following information available.

  • Permit Number

  • Address of performed work

  • Type of inspection needed

  • Your name and phone number

  • Date inspection is to be completed. Earliest request can be next business day if requested before 3 pm.


request AN AFTER HOURS INSPECTION

After hours inspection requests are not gaurenteed and reviewed on an individual basis. Applications must be submitted a minimum of 3 working days prior to the proposed inspection date. Upon approval, a 2-hour minimum after hours inspection fee will be assessed and is due prior to scheduling.

This can be done one of two ways.

Option 1

Go to Permit Tracker.

Click on “scheduled” under inspections.

This will bring up a list of scheduled inspections for the day.

Find your permit to review details including who your assigned inspector is.

 

Option 2

Building Inspectors are rotated through geographical regions. Refer to the map and region assignments list below. Please note, this may be changed on any given day to provide adequate coverage as needed.
