On July 25, 2021 at approximately 10:17 a.m., it was reported that a manhole located at the intersection of Tangerine Farms Rd. and Clark Farms Blvd. was surcharging (which is called a Sanitary Sewer Overflow – “SSO”). Marana Water Department personnel responded immediately.
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) recognized the Town of Marana Water Department through their Voluntary Environmental Stewardship Program’s (VESP) Copper level certificate, for the Town’s continued strong environmental compliance record and commitment to construct and operate the Airline/Lambert and Picture Rocks Water Treatment Campuses for emerging contaminants, such as PFAS and 1,4- Dioxane.
