Heidi Lasham has been appointed as the new Director of the Marana Water Department, effective Monday, September 23, 2024.
“In Heidi’s time here as our Public Works CIP Division Manager, she’s demonstrated strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills,” said Deputy Town Manager Erik Montague. “Prior to Marana, Heidi served as the Deputy Public Works Director for Sahuarita where she was responsible for numerous areas, including wastewater. We believe that her experience along with her team-based approach will be a great addition to the Water team.”
Lasham is best known for her variety of expertise ranging from transportation to water and design through construction. Before coming to the Town of Marana, Lasham was the Deputy Public Works Director/ Utility Division Manager at the Town of Sahuarita. She is well-known in the consultant and contractor community. She is a registered Professional Engineer with over 25 years of experience. She is very involved in the community and on several boards; Southern AZ Construction Career Days and Women in Transportation Seminars, to name a few. She received the inaugural Women Leading Government award and was named Women of the Year by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She hails from the midwest and is a graduate of Purdue University.
Lasham is ready to lead and encourage staff to be the best they can be while supporting the growing community.
“I’m excited to take on the Town of Marana Water Director role,” said Lasham. “I can’t wait to see what great things the team will accomplish in the coming years.”
