MARANA- The Town of Marana is wishing Marana Middle School student Karen Opoku-Appoh the best of luck as she represents the Town and the State of Arizona in the Scripps National Spelling Bee competition this summer.
During the April 4th council meeting, Marana Mayor Ed Honea issued a proclamation recognizing Opoku-Appoh for the outstanding achievement of becoming the State champion.
Karen Opoku-Appoh will now head to National Harbor, Maryland where she will compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee on June 1, 2023.
