MARANA- Mayor Ed Honea and Town Council have proclaimed April 10, 2023 as Lineworker Appreciation Day in the Town of Marana.
According to the proclamation, lineworkers work with thousands of volts of electricity atop power lines 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in order to keep electricity flowing and they must often work in dangerous conditions to maintain the energy infrastructure of the State of Arizona and the United States.
The Town of Marana recognizes and expresses gratitude for the efforts of local lineworkers from Trico Electric Cooperative and Tucson Electric Power as well as all lineworkers keeping the power on and the public safe.
