TRAFFIC ALERT: Marana Main Street traffic detour due to roundabout art installation

Construction operations will restrict the width of the travel lane and will close the roundabout for large commercial vehicles. A regional truck detour will be marked to direct commercial traffic from the interstate to the frontage road using Grier Road to complete the detour to Sandario Road. Commercial vehicles can still deliver to businesses north of the roundabout.

Marana Founders’ Day has a new local celebrity at the helm of the annual parade - Marana Unified School District teacher and UA Amazing Teacher of the Year Finalist Jennifer North-Morris!

Jennifer North-Morris (Ms. NoMo) has lived in Marana for 19 years and is proud to be part of the Marana community as a teacher, parent, and neighbor. She joined the mathematics team at Marana High School seven years ago and has been honored this year as a finalist for the University of Arizona Athletics and KGUN 9 News Teacher of the Year. Prior to coming to Marana, she taught for 11 years in California and worked as a curriculum and professional development specialist for several publishing and technology companies. NoMo loves working and living in Marana and looks forward to her continued work with our amazing community. ​

TRAFFIC ALERT: Marana Road and Luckett Road

The Town of Marana will be removing and replacing a section of pavement on Marana Road located near the Marana Road/Luckett Road intersection. Traffic may be delayed for a short period of time due to lane closures. Work will start on March 1st and end on March 3rd. Work will take place between the hours of 7:00am to 3:30pm.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Traffic signals on Silverbell Road - Silverbell at Yuma Mine Circle and Santa Cruz Bridge

The Distribution center being built on the northeast corner of the Ina Road and Silverbell Road intersection will be installing dual south-bound left-turn lanes and two traffic signals. One on Silverbell Road at Yuma Mine Circle, the other will be located just west of the Santa Cruz Bridge on Ina Rd.
