MARANA- Another closure is now in effect on a portion of the Chuck Huckelberry Loop as crews continue construction on the installation of Pima County’s new dual 24-inch pipeline from the Continental Ranch Regional Pump Station.
According to Pima County Wastewater Reclamation, beginning January 3, 2024, the bike lane and sidewalk will be closed along the east side of Silverbell Road from Yuma Mine Road to the Bradstreet Drive area.
This closure is in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the end of April 2024.
It will allow for trucks to safely access the construction area as the pipeline is installed south of Cortaro Road.
Travel lanes along Silverbell Road will not be impacted.
Pima County is encouraging you to not used the CLOSED SECTIONS of Loop pathway for the safety of the workers. Please comply with all instructional traffic control devices, detour signage and/or flagging personnel.
Emergency access will always be provided.
