Sewer line installation underneath Cortaro Road just west of Cortaro Bridge

Borderland Construction will be working on force main sewer line installation underneath Cortaro Road just west of the Cortaro Bridge across the Santa Cruz River.
They will be using the dirt lot on the south side of Cortaro Road between the Northwest Allied Physicians Office and Cortaro Bridge to access the site. Work will begin Monday, August 7, 2023 and is anticipated to end October 27, 2023.
Crews will be working from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, but those hours are subject to change throughout the duration of the project. The eastbound bike lane between the Cortaro Road Bridge and W Mamie Kai Drive will be closed 24/7 for the duration of the project.
For your safety, and the safety of the workers, please DO NOT USE the CLOSED SECTIONS of Loop pathway. Please comply with all instructional traffic control devices, detour signage and/or flagging personnel.
This work is part of the Continental Ranch Regional Pump Station Force Main Augmentation, installing dual 24” HDPE force main sewer lines for Pima County.
Emergency access will always be provided.
