MARANA- A portion of the Chuck Huckelberry Loop pathway south of Twin Peaks Road will be closed beginning on Monday, July 31, 2023 as crews continue work on a major Pima County Sewer Improvement Project.
The path will be closed from the Wade McLean Neighborhood Park to just south of Cortaro Road.
The closure is expected to be in effect through January 2024.
From Pima County Wastewater Reclamation:
Residents whose properties back up to the Loop in this area should expect weekday construction activity generally from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wade McLean Neighborhood Park will only be accessible from the multi-use path off Silverbell Road near Coyote Trails Elementary School.
The multi-use path from Silverbell Road near Coyote Trails Elementary School, will remain open only for travel to Wade McLean Neighborhood Park. Northbound Loop access to Twin Peaks Road and southbound Loop access to Cortaro Road will not be permitted.
The Loop between Twin Peaks Road and Wade McLean Neighborhood Park is currently closed for trenching activities and pipe installation.
When complete, this Pima County Wastewater Reclamation Project will provide seven miles of a new dual force main sewer system between the Continental Ranch Regional Pump Station and the Tres Rios Water Reclamation Facility.
