MARANA- Drivers should prepare for lane restrictions beginning this weekend on Interstate 10 as traffic is moved to the frontage roads between Ina and Ruthrauff Roads.
The traffic restrictions are part of the Arizona Department of Transportation’s I-10 Reconstruction Project.
ADOT is advising drivers to plan for overnight east- and westbound lane restrictions on the Interstate beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday, April 22, as crews shift traffic from mainline I-10 to the frontage roads.
According to ADOT, starting on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 9 p.m. the Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane between Ina and Ruthrauff Roads. This will be in effect while crews set up to move traffic from the I-10 to the frontage roads.

Eastbound lane restrictions include:
Eastbound mainline I-10 traffic will be reduced to one lane between Ina and Ruthrauff roads beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday, April 22, and ends at 5 a.m. Monday, April 24.
The speed limits will be reduced to 45 mph
A 14-foot vehicle width restriction to be in place
Beginning Monday, April 24, eastbound mainline I-10 traffic will be moved to the frontage roads between Ina and Ruthrauff roads. Three lanes of traffic will be available during daytime hours.
Westbound lane restrictions:
Westbound mainline I-10 traffic will be reduced to one lane between Ina and Orange Grove roads starting at 9 p.m. Monday, April 24, and ending at 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 25.
The speed limits will be reduced to 45 mph
A 14-foot vehicle width restriction to be in place
Beginning Tuesday, April 25, westbound mainline I-10 traffic will be moved to the frontage roads between Ina and Orange Grove Roads. Three lanes of traffic will be available during daytime hours.
The traffic shifts will remain in effect until late 2024. Access to all businesses will be maintained during construction.
