Marana PD dispatcher Grace Neal at the 2022 Founders Day event
MARANA- A dispatcher with the Marana Police Department is retiring after more than three decades of service at the Town of Marana.
Grace Neal began working with the town in 1988 as a Records Clerk for the Marana Police Department. She was promoted to and served as a Dispatcher from 1992 to 1995. After working elsewhere for a short time, Neal was then hired on once again as a Dispatcher with MPD on June 7, 1997. She served more than 30 years in total with the town and 28 years as a dispatcher.
She will retire from her position on September 30, 2022.
There will be a retirement ceremony for Neal on September 28th at 3 p.m.
Mayor Ed Honea and Town Council have issued a proclamation recognizing Neal for her many years of service and thanking her for her dedication to the Marana Community.
The proclamation states that “upon retirement, Grace is looking forward to traveling, eating well, and overall enjoying life with her husband, Mario, her children, Daniel, Jessica, Andrea, and Dominick, and her grandchildren, Alejandro, Aavianna, Eddie, Gracie, Evie, and one more who is on the way.”
Neal gave special thanks to her husband and her children. “We’ve always come out on top because we’ve had each other,” said Neal.
