Mayor Ed Honea broke ground with Roche Tissue Diagnostics on their future expansion of a 60,000-square-foot state-of-the-art building. The new construction, just east of the company’s existing 60,000-square-foot Ventana Logistics Facility, will house instrument and service productions for the company. The two buildings will connect through a 30-foot-long corridor. Completion of the new Marana building is expected in 2022.

Roche Tissue Diagnostics provides more than 250 cancer tests and associated instruments and technologies, impacting more than 27 million patients around the world annually.
“Roche has also been recognized as the most sustainable company in the pharmaceuticals index of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices.” said Himanshu Parikh, Vice President of Roche Tissue Diagnostics Global Operations, “We will bring that commitment to sustainability into the design of this new building, as we do with all new builds -- including the current facility right here (VLF).”
The new building will allow for the expanded production of cancer diagnostics systems that are delivered around the world. This expansion demonstrates Roche’s commitment to supporting the local economy and the region’s growing biosciences industry.
