 On October 14, 2020, the Arizona Building Official (AZBO) held its virtual Annual Business Meeting to award and recognize individuals in the industry, and where Chairman Brian Uthe recognized Town of Marana staff Paul Froehlke and David Spurlock for their mentorship with the Chairman’s Award.

The AZBO is the state professional organization representing Code Officials in Arizona. In addition to encouraging uniform best practices in providing statewide code interpretation and enforcement at the local level, the mission of AZBO is to represent the interests of the individual Arizona state chapters at the state, regional, and federal level, and inform and educate its members and the public in matters involving the health, safety, and welfare of citizens in the built environment.
