This is a traffic alert issued by Pima County.
Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department (RWRD) and their contractor, Achen Gardner, are installing a 15-inch sewer interceptor line along Hartman Lane, between Linda Vista Boulevard and Cortaro Farms Road. The contractor began work south of the intersection at Cortaro Farms Road and is working northward toward Linda Vista Boulevard. The sewer installation along Hartman Lane is expected to be completed in September 2019.
The sewer-line installation will be complete along Hartman Lane by the end of the day, Friday, September 20, 2019. Hartman Lane will be open to north and southbound travel at that time.
The pipe installation is complete; however, the contractor will continue working on the manholes in Hartman Lane from Overton Road to Linda Vista Boulevard. Motorists will be shifted around the work area. Flaggers will be on-site to help direct traffic through the area. All turn movements and north and southbound travel will be maintained during this phase of work. This work will continue until approximately mid-October 2019.
During the week beginning October 14, the contractor will pave the disturbed portion(approximately 12-foot wide section) of Hartman Lane from Linda Vista to just south of Overton Road. To cause the least amount of impact to the residents and the traveling public, the paving operation is being scheduled during the Marana School Districts Fall Break. Paving this portion of roadway is scheduled to be complete by the end of the day Friday, October 18, 2019.
On Monday, September 22, the contractor will begin pipe installation on the northern portion of the project from Blue Bonnet Road to Tangerine Road. Most of this work will occur outside the roadway, however, traffic alerts will be sent prior to any anticipated traffic impacts.
Residents and the traveling public should watch for informational signs with detour information. Emergency access will always be provided. The above work schedule may be impacted by weather or mechanical failure.
During the sewer pipe installation, there will be extensive trenching and large equipment entering and exiting the work area.
Motorists should remain alert and use caution when driving near construction activities.
