This Saturday, Dec 7, attendees at the Marana Holiday Festival and Christmas Tree Lighting can expect a small change to the event’s main feature. Instead of the 40-foot Christmas tree previously used to light up the holiday season, Town staff will be using the historic 25-foot Christmas tree originally used in the festival’s 20-year running tradition in order to provide a safe and reliable holiday experience.
The smaller Christmas tree is not only in great condition, but the change in size will hopefully remedy the electrical issues caused by the larger tree, which resulted in cancellations of the nightly light show in previous years.
All other features of the 2019 Marana Holiday Festival will be recognizable from past years. The hallmark Christmas Tree light show will still take place at 6:00 pm, and groups from the Marana community will be performing classic holiday tunes all evening. Kids can bring their wish lists to Santa, or play in one of two snow globes containing 25-tons of real snow. We will also have an extensive list of food vendors and a holiday market to find the perfect gifts for your loved ones, play some games, and meet your neighbors.
Encore Christmas Tree light shows will occur every night after Dec 7 through the 31st of December on the hour from 5-9 P.M.
We are so excited to see you at the 2019 Holiday Fest and kick off this holiday season with our community.
